Title is probably pretty self explanatory!

Yes. I'd say at least nine for any warlock.

No. Turon is a newb and doesn't even use the reflex enchantment himself. Why bother with art against newbs that don't use the enchantment that nerfs your class? Go straight mana dumps for the win.

Most warlock spells have a reflex save, and most people, even those who enchant their suits, don't have a lot of reflex.

Art would only be useful against people with reflex, so that's why Ardith is saying don't bother.

Personally, I'd probably do five art at least. And Turon isn't a newb, and is a good pker who actually played a warlock recently, so you can't go too wrong by taking his advice.

I think you could build either way on a warlock and be successful.

I personally would go for 9 art because I think warlocks are pretty wand-dependent and I would plan on collecting a bunch of elite wands for PK.

But those wands all have reflex saves.

Again, you could go either way. Keep in mind that going without any art would definitely be a non-traditional build, though.

Also is there an art cap for the use of wands, from what I was told only the first 6 art would apply to the use of scrolls.

Okay, so I change my answer: I'd say either 3 or 9 art for a player who was familiar with the mud. If -I- rolled a lock he'd have nine art to make the most out of wands (For magical devices, only up to 3 art applies for staves, up to 6 art for scrolls, and up to 9 for wands)

But for a new player you might want to try 3 art at most and then train the rest in mana as Ardith said: It's much more utilitarian to do that.

Here's my reasoning behind training art though: Since it's such a generally hard to achieve/low priority enchantment, having the extra art is actually much -more- likely to make a difference. If most players have only 5 or 10 reflex at most on their gear, then your art trains will nullify the majority of players' reflex.

Thanks for the advice - I actually decided to go a different direction than warlock with the character but I appreciate the feedback, as always!
