Don't know where else to ask this, so here goes.

Does Shattered Kingdoms have a port other than 1996? My college network doesn't like keeping a solid connection to the server without giving me a ton of lag, and someone at my IT department told me that I cannot have the connection fixed due to security concerns. When I asked what those security concerns were, I was informed: "Tcp port 1996 is suppose to be for Cisco Remote SRB port and our whole network is Cisco shop".

If anyone has any remedies, that would be appreciated. I would like to be able to play Shattered Kingdoms on campus, but unless I figure out an alternative way to connect, get one of those "get internet anywhere in the world" things, or convince my IT department to fix whatever the quoted issue is (I have no idea what it means, as I don't know anything about networks), I'm screwed.

You'll need to find a site the does rerouting, unfortunately.

You could get your hands on a shell of some sorts, somewhere you can SSH or Telnet to through regular ports and then connect through there.

Not entirely. There are a few players (or maybe ex players now, since I haven't talked to them in forever) that have set up tunnels. I lost my tunnel when my router died. Otherwise, I would've set up one for you. But, setting up your own tunnel is actually simpler than you might think. It does require some time, as well as a dedicated router and/or box. But, as long as they're up, you can tunnel around your school. If you want, shoot me a PM with what you have, and I'll shoot you some info how you might be able to do it.
