Shattered Kingdoms

I was tempted to post this in the bug section, but since I am rather new, I figured there's a chance I'm overlooking something simple.

I logged on about 20 minutes ago for the first time today. I was on for maybe a minute or two and was pasting in the 'cast armor' command repeatedly a few times to practice the spell. All of a sudden, my prompts that had been stating my HP, MP, and fatigue were gone, replaced with strange white text (mostly asterisks) with a blue background. Also, my line length began to fluctuate (half the time it was normal, half the time it was way off). I have no clue why this happened, and I haven't been able to figure out a way to undo it. I disconnected and restarted my client, but that did nothing. I even tried creating a new prompt, but the prompt still does not show at all.

FYI, I use SimpleMU for my client, and I was using CTL+V to paste in commands. Any help or suggestions anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

You may have turned on VT interfacing. Type "VT" and it will toggle it on/off.

Yeah. If you missed the CTRL key, you'd have turned it on.
