I have heard a couple things about reincarnate. Would it be wrong to ask for the exact info about it.

What sort of information are you looking for? Have you read the help file for reincarnation yet?

That when you lose a level where a stat is gained, you lose it in a random stat. Or that you lose more HP than you normally gain in a level.

If you lose an even numbered level, you will also a lose a random point from one of your attributes. However, when you regain the level your character will also get another stat point.

We can't see numbers for hit points, but if SK works like other games then you lose the maximum amount possible for your class when you lose a level. When you gain the level back, you will likely lose a small amount of hit points unless you roll the maximum.

In the grand scheme of things, a couple of hit points is insignificant given the size of pools at GM.

Finney, I was a little confused on that last post.
You say that you there are 'permanent' penalties to using reincarnate to come back to life? (The loss of a couple hit points?)
I understand that the stat point can be reobtained.

He said that it's possible that you might lose some hit points, but even if you do it's not going to be noticeable.

Imagine that your character gets energy drained by a necromancer and loses a level as a result. Your character gained 1d10 hit points for that level (this range is fabricated and pulled out of thin air for the purpose of this example). If Shattered Kingdoms works like other games, your character will lose 10 hit points no matter what you actually rolled.

When you regain the level, the hit points will still be determined randomly - 1d10. Unless you roll the maximum, you are going to lose a few hit points.
