Extended descriptions make descriptions much cleaner. You wouldn't want to be spammed with 90-100 lines of description for a room just because of everything that is in it that is being described to you (my first mistake when I was an imm elsewhere..teach them to teach me how to use extended faster, next time!). Plus, you look at what you want to look at, rather than have it all force fed to you. I love extendeds.
