Does the innate axe bonus stack with mercenary specialization?

Yes. It also stacks with fury.

That's awsome. You have no idea how lame it was when I had Semli and I tried to act dwarvish by using a great axe like dragonsbane and I could only get one attack berserked and furied.

So I actually got around to coding a minor benefit for dwarves but there was other code that wasn't ready to go live at the time and then forgot about it. It went live with some bug fixes last week without any fanfare.

So congratulations, dwarves! You get innate axe skill. In addition, axes in the hands of a dwarf have slightly more speed and accuracy.

If you had a dwarf prior to the change, your skill will not be mastered. If you send me an email, I will endeavor to fix up your pfile ASAP.

YAY DORF PRIESTS??!?!? :(

I think it glorious that dwarves are innate masters with the axe and have better speed and accurracy. But still something not right. Maybe its because I've always percieved dwarves as tough and sturdy (as does the help file for dwarves) So maybe they could get innate toughness? Also a race from the deep like dwarves (any race from the deep should apply though) should have the innate ability to climb. I mean c'mon I'm a dwarf that lives in the moutains all my life but never took the time to learn how to navigate around my environment? I mean sprites can fly cause of who they are as griffons. So shouldn't climbing up the face of a mountain be second nature? Not complaining at all. I actually enjoy playing a dwarf, its just a suggestion. :drunk:

The new dwarf-boost in axe is crucial. I've witnessed many dwarves running around beating [REDACTED] up with the utmost ease. They still have suck INT though, hahaha. I hope dwarf-users don't plan to cast spells, though with the innate axe increase, it is possible for a priest to get three attacks with an axe, (though without physical attributes to back it, it may not be so useful). If one builds outside the accepted shaman strategy, I can a dwarf shaman being supremely lethal.
