Quite frankly I like putting the RP into it before I ressurect someone, that way I am sure I get what I feel is appropriate to get a ressurection from my diety. Making people have one SET routine doesn't give any freedom of expression, which means some really good RP will be shot down the toilet for some spam done ritual.

I think the thing here is do what you feel is appropriate for your character's mindset AND the god they worship and how they approach their worship.

If your a priest and you dnt get RP before/after a ress then STFU... you are bringing it upon yourself, I NEVER had that problem... and truthfully the answer to avoid it is simple...

NO RP = NO REZ

It might b a dick thing to do leaving someone in the river maye even wasting the single hour they had lef but hey, maybe next time they wont try to get away with a Rezkthx...the point is your in charge of how much RP you get from your rez, so if it is less then par, blame yourself or stp giving resses.

Well, the problem I face isn't with the people I haven't rezzed before. I know how to generate RP with them even if they don't want to. If they're trying to pull a rezplz on me I make them sit a while, and if they don't sit, then they're never getting a rez from me again (or at least until i forget who they are). Occasionally when I'm busy I'll toss them out like candy and with little RP from my side, but that's not the norm.

I just don't know how to make things interesting when a regular customer drops by. Not the "this is the fourth time I've rezzed you today" people, but the old friends and tribunal members and faith members - how do you generate RP with someone, when forcing it basically means being an unfreindly or untrusting [REDACTED]?

My character gets resurrected by the same 4 people, he never branches out. He takes raises over resurrections from others because the 4 that do resurrect him on a 'regular' basis. It is very muchso a 'revolving door' thing, because my character already venerates their deities and aids in equipping/helping the priests and their followers.

I don't find it 'uninteresting', because simply it keeps me in constant contact with the priests and so I'm always rping with them, whether its post resurrection or just passing by.

It's not a 'rezplzkthx bye till next time' deal and I think that's what priests should avoid having happen.

The problem is not people who RP with the priest about the god(es) when they dont need a ress then ask for one when they die. the problem is people say, I am lightie your lightie, I died fighting Darkie, Rezplzkthx (or vice versa). Those are the people which priest get upset about.

My lines when I used to turn people down were commonly these

"Ignore Dabi in life and she ignores you in death"
"Speak to me about your feelings of Dabi when your not in need of her services so I can know your feelings are not coming from need but want"

They work with any diety in the game. I wouldnt mind a rezplzkthx from people who RPed honoring my priestess BEFORE they died. It was not even hard and took little time. somthing as easy as giving some coin to her church, or asking who offends the church gettin a list of names and picking one (usually a mutual enemy) and bringing me thiere corpse to be sacrificed at her temple. RP after a rezz to me was just people trying to hurry RP along to be able to get another rezz. I always liked the RP about the church with no need to Rezz... Boug always stands out as a person who I point to as an example. I left him in the river once, then we met up and he said what he could do to gain Dabis favor, I gave him the list and told him, blood for blood, one corpse for one life. We sacrificed the corpses in the temple and boom, Sometimes I just took the corpse if I was busy.
