Why do so many pets get put in way too buff and end up getting wimped? I remember the nightlings from CoH used to be pretty popular, there was that skeleton monkey which I don't even think is in the game anymore...I'm sure there's lots more I don't remember or never even knew about.

Imms have a handy command: areacheck. They type it in an area and they see what things in the area are out of whack--too powerful to go live. Then they fix them before the area goes live.

However, pets haven't been added to the areacheck command. D said he'd do that soon.

But that's why pets seems to get wimped more often than other stuff. We only know they're unbalanced when they've already been in the game for a while.

Imms and builders are like, you know Iam sick of the weak pets. I want to make a powerful pet that you must do a quest or task to get. They do it, they are happy for a while but is sadly disappointed when people complain it.

People get annoyed when they cannot PK someone with a new toy. Some people when they roll a warrior cannot kill a mage or a bard or whatnot with a pet/mount in a short amount of time. They begin to think they are being ripped off and complain.

Now sometimes the pet is a bit buggy and really does need to be changed however most of the time people should really suck it up and learn how to defeat the new pet instead of getting it wimped. Mages, priests and bards need a pet. Without it they would die.

The game evolves so must the players.

Remember its just a game.

Thanks for the debuff. hopefully we'll see some variety in pet purchasing again.
