I've only ever gotten one mentor point now that people mention it, and that was with Tshotha-lantier. I never went out of my way to earn mentor points though, I just helped people out. I assumed that's why I never got points. I spent as much time collecting suitable eq and escorting people to leveling areas as I ever did teaching skills.

I thought you had to earn a certain amount of exp from a student before you got a point, so I assumed if I didn't mentor sorcs I wasn't going to get much.
