The reason I started this is because I was levelling on one of my recent characters and reached an area where the NPCs carry some pretty high quality weapons and armor. Atleast for NPCs standards. Where most just run around in light chainmail, or wizard garb etc, these NPCs were sporting full suits of tanso steel, tanso flails etc. even a bit of mithril.
Let me elaborate, when I say full suits, I don't mean the whole shibang. All slots etc. I imagine a full suit consisting of boots, greaves, hands, body and helm, you know, covering the full body. While the ones that wore tanso did have all of these, or close to it, the ones that wore mithril, only had a helm and a breastplate, yet the armor does look really neat. Why was it neglected? Also, and according to the Vnum stuff, I know that implementing entire suits on every NPC wouldn't be possible, but a NPC or two sporting a full suit of the armor based on that area would be neat.
I don't argue this point simply because of "ooc realism", though you know, if somone IS going to issue guards some armor, why would they just give em a b.plate and a helm and say that's that? Primarily, I just like seeing full suits that match. I mean hell, theres a certain scale set found in caves and another leather set found in caves with all slots from helm to feet including belts. I think one set is missing gloves, but you get the idea.
