Balacha isnt nearly a good a tank as those htree demons npcs

No man, you just have to give him a full suit of +6 mp mithril and adamantite/energy khopesh kama enchanted to +9 +9 each and he will totally own, I mean lol, if you don't do that you're such a noob. Get a life!

*tongue, as Jardek so eloquently put it, lodged firmly in cheek*

Last I checked material makes no difference in the damage output of weapons, only the subtype. Tanso steel khopesh at 6/6 and tanso steel wakizashi(both store bought afaik, at least one of them in Nerina) are enough imo to give you a swashie with elite tanking and damage output capabilities.

Also, none said 6/6 MP. That's more MP than what most swashies would bother with enchanting anyway. 4 MP is enough, and SK has enough mithril pieces that start at 4 MP. And don't tell there is not enough good light or heavy armor in SK right now because I'll laugh.

You probably don't even need the great MP mithril anyway, the parry/eparry/riposte skills given to Balacha plus the basic AC given to him as built in AC(considering his level also) are enough to make him a good tank. The ability to wear more armor and more treasures just increase his ability to survive and add him enchantments overall.

You cannot simply ignore the fact that NPC w/ EQ >>> NPC w/out EQ. If you are lazy and give them no lewt at all, Ghazzhaz > Balacha. If you actually put some effort, Balacha >>> Ghazzhaz.

PS: And let's not forget how certain builders overflow the game with great MP full top AC armor suits *coughs* Algorab *coughs* Taslamar's law NPCs *coughs*.

:o HOW DID YOU MISS THE LAST LINE OF MY POST?!

Well, Balacha would be good if that was his standard equipment.
It's not however. And aside from that, whatever you take the time to put on
him isn't necessarily going to come back with you (Balacha might
die/get summoned/be charmed/Leave because you wander into
friendly territory).
The North can have Balacha (With all his flaws).
I think everyone else would prefer the
three freaks in the basement. Though I can't speak for everyone.
(It'd certainly be funny to see six monsters on the next
Hammer-Talon raid against the North.)

It's a whole package or nothing deal. I'd take all of exiles NPCs in trade for all of BH's NPCs any day. They can have the circus, and I'll enjoy having 60% of my normal guard base able to spam holy word at a moments notice.

Serving jail time is not cheating.

Not playing your character IC, and instead acting OOC, is cheating. Not every time you serve jail time is it considered cheating, but in a great many circumstance players serve jail time because it benefits them OOC tremendously and makes absolutely no sense IC. It is done only to get around code.

This is called cheating, not being 'lame'.

If the plurality of immortals don't consider this cheating, and feel the need to punish what I consider to be cheating, that's obviously up to them. But that doesn't suddenly make it 'lame' rather than cheating. The definition of cheating is not, "What a plurality of immortals agree to and Dulrik approves."

Anyways, I will punish for cheating on my own by viciously ravaging these players moreso than I would others. :)

Jails should be infinitely more brutal to make it so even losing all your equipment and money is better than going to jail.

Please give talons dispell magic so we have a [REDACTED] way to get rid of rifts. I literally try not to waste my time pking when enemies have rifts in my city because its pointless when I can't dispell them, just an easy way to -nearly- die.

You can get deleted for ravaging without consent you know.

It's just lame bad RP according to Dulrik.

So let's just stay on topic, right?

I think even quoting me as saying its lame RP is taking me completely out of context. I said that stripping yourself naked is lame. If you allow the criminal justice system to penalize you to it's full effect, that's not cheating or bad RP. It's taking your medicine in exchange for being allowed to return to society.

Perhaps banishment needs to be looked at, and the amounts lowered.

Just change execution into becoming permanent death like age death. That'll keep people on their toes.
