what is the difference... size matters and currently you would not see much of a difference in damage between small and medium because of the random rolls. Now going from small to giant, yes that would be more a visible difference.

There is a huge difference in going from small to medium.

I like how weapons in D&D are the deciding factor to size, not the person holding it.

My 64 cents

It wasn't that long ago that I made changes to how much the difference in size was for damage. This was because giants were dishing out so much and we were on a kick of trying to make combats take longer. But as I recall, I just reduced the modifiers across the board - so that means tiny and small creatures should be doing more damage than before.

So if you haven't tried tiny/small creatures in the last several months, you probably shouldn't be speaking on this thread with authority.

Yep, melee is a lot different than it was several months ago.

I think I already did. If you read what I wrote, I basically said that sprites and dwarves do more damage than they used to do.

The question is, "Is the bonus a dwarf gets for using an axe large enough to counteract their size difference."

No that they got buffed in some way. Just for dwarves and their xtra bonus for using axes.

Eh, I had a dwarf barbarian some time ago and hit mentor status with him within 20 hours. While they do lose a little bit of damage due to size, it hasn't been something that is staggering, and there are other perks to being size small or size tiny.

I made a sprite swashbuckler recently, and I've had no major issues with damage. Most things were dieing close to the same speed as with my giant barb. I've been constantly rerolling new characters to find one that makes me happy, and in all honesty it's seemed to come down to what weapon I was using over the size of my character when it came down to the speed in which I was killing things.
