Shattered Kingdoms

I was wondering why we can't tailor skins to make barding. With the very limited supply of barding out there and the armor restrictions on top of the limited barding (most NPCs also carry weapons to make it extra special), I don't understand why tailored barding isn't possible.

This has come up a couple times already. Dulrik wants it to be rare so I wouldn't count on being able to tailor them any time in the near future.

I asked this same question and Dulrik himself answered it in more or less the way Gnimral describes. I started a thread just like this.
