As you could only get the required XP to get to "ready to advance" though enlightenments it would have two other side effects: 1) Players would be less willing to reincarnate / BoL / Raise from the dead and 2) it would force more players to be active RPers at GM.

but I -know- Mormons are not supposed to drink.

What you know is wrong then. We can drink, just not becomes drunks, and we have to make it ourselves.

If you want to know the details, let me know.

Yes... how do you make your own rum?

Is it flavoured?

I'm from North Carolina, we have our ways of making alcohol and yes it is flavored as well. I mostly use a sugar base but I use lots of fruit too mainly apricots, figs, blackberries, or cherries. It is easier than you think to make as it almost makes itself. Sometimes I make it "flat" (basic moonshine/clear) and just soak it in some thing, like a watermelon or pineapple, as those flavors can be hard to get right during fermentation. Also, it is completely legal to make and use your own alcoholic beverages.

As a Disclaimer it isn't illegal to own a still, it is illegal on the other hand to use it. Specifically it is illegal to distill your own Alcohol especially in the U.S.

It's not illegal to grow mushrooms, but it is illegal to process them.

That sounds fantastic. Here in TN, the laws are still anti-moonshine, which is ridiculous... poor old Popcorn Sutton.

Rum doesnt take a still to make. Also, it is legal to make your own alcohol as long as I am not selling it or making more then is reasonable to consume on my own (up to 200gallons a year). One point that Lightbringer is missing is the amount of alcohol content in the end result and that is what determines its classification. I could be wrong on malt versus sugar base, but I am pretty sure I am fine legally because I learned how to do it from my Sheriff (who is my uncle).

Im not making moonshine. What I make is more like a glorified flavored beer.
