Why is stone skin not a held DR spell instead of a no harm spell that lasts like six hits? It would be more benificial for it to be a damage reduction spell that stays up the whole time you are concentrating on it. Scouts can eat through stone skin then the warlock rather quickly. Scale the reduction like Irongaurd.

Stone Skin is fine as is. If you want DR, get Spirit Aura.

Warlocks are perfectly fine now that they can buy pets.

I dont know why having a pet as a warlock would make them "fine" or "better" seeing as pets die in like 1-2 rounds and put out little to no damage at all now.

But yes, the stoneskin spell is good the way it is.

Yes, your perpetually front row priest is indeed evidence that you do not know what a pet does. However, fr most players, having a pet in addition to an elemental lets them get 3rd row and buys them 1-2 rounds to get out of dodge after their elemental dies or is dispelled, a significant buff to the class.

Although I do not fully agree with the change in stoneskin, do you propose that a warlock's position is to ... run away? The elementals are very easily dispelled and not as tough anymore. Warlocks do need something but I am not sure if that's what it is.

He was too busy burning Jeckel for being a noob than to defend the fact that warlocks having pets gives them an extra 2-3 rounds to cast offensive spells, order bashes, or what have you: And also prevents anyone with a reaching stone-skin breaking weapon from totally murdering them, because they have to at least eat through a pet or elemental first now even in 1v1.

The elemental's save against dispel should be tied to the warlock's willpower. I think warlocks would be solid then.

It would remove some of the squishyness. You couls still have weapons that break through the full DR, but still allow them DR over 6 hits. Most classes can eat a warlock in a few rounds over that. It would be a way to give them some more longevity.
