I wouldn't be completely against something like this being put into the game, but the fact that mistakes can be made adds a little spice to the game, and it can be pretty hilarious sometimes.

I wouldn't have any problem missing out on the "attacking your own group accidentally" feature of the game.

You don't find it hilarious and entirely reasonable that when you type 'fire sw monster', you in fact start unloading arrows into the walking sword your buddy has, that might even be actually behind you in the formation?
And what's not to thoroughly enjoy about typing 'cs chi', thinking you were going to attack that chieftain, and being pleasantly surprised that you've blinded your chiseled buddy, all your other friends and yourself? You get the extra point if one of your groupmates dies in the chaos! Well, at least Marfik is smiling somewhere everytime this happens.

I think there's plenty enough room for mistakes, without having these awesome scenarios to contend with. This would be a very nice change.
