So i notice that containers take weapon damage. If you add armor protection to it will it boost your protection of your body?
Alright so armor protection is not an overall effect. Whatever armor protection you have counts for that slot. For example five runes of armor protection on a head piece counts as five runes for the head. It does not add together like magical protection and magical resistance.

The container slot is not an armor slot.
You also cannot enchant a skin that has not been changed into an appropriate piece of armor/container.
As long as a skin has not been made into a backpack, it is still a skin, fresh from the kill it can be imbued with magical protection, armor protection or magical resistance. ONCE it is made into a backpack the skin now is not a skin, but an item and can be imbued with the things items can be imbued with , for exampl wisdom or mana or strength.
