There is certainly a strange irony about loyalty tokens being linked to leadership flags, since it both rewards players for accepting extra responsibility while simultaneously having the potential to punish entire factions with a leader-in-title-only that clings to the position solely for tokens. I would prefer tokens not to be linked to leadership positions - the extra responsibility is already compensated with additional influence and power for the character in question.

I think it works fine as there are requirements for being a leader and penalties for failing in certain ways. Not sure if you guys have current leaders. But there are rules in place now for bad leaders and punishments to boot. There is also a possibility for future denial of leadership status for bad leaders. So as long as the imms monitor leaders reasonably we should be fine.

There are no penalties unless you rage retire or go inactive.

They appear to be insanely miniscule penalties too. 5 tokens lost for retiring while HF. When some folks have upwards of 300+ tokens.

I do not believe a single metric for effective leadership has ever been officially published. We're jumping the gun to talk about bad leaders as if the staff has agreed with the community's sentiments expressed in this and other threads.

I'll only go so far as to suggest that the unofficial rules for leadership might benefit from additional stipulations. It seems to me perfectly reasonable to observe that it is difficult to juggle more than one leadership role as a player. It also seems reasonable to observe that characters are more accessible when they have no alts associated with their player and when their titles are obvious.

What happened to the old limit of 3 bounty NPCs spawning at once? Seeing like 10 spawn at a time in Taslamar is insane.

It's 3 per outlaw per room maximum. Don't do the crime if you can't... well, you know. :roll:

How tough are those Nerina lizardmen? The golden griffons were the only silly ones, seems like even 10 should go down pretty quickly to whatever group is spawning that many.

Perhaps a deduction of one token per week could be applied. If you have poor rp or lack of commitment, you have a token removed. That way the tokens are not given, but earned.
Just a thought. But it would require additional Imm commitment to review each leader.
