You're not the first to jloot me and you won't be the last. That's part of the game and it doesn't bother me.

Since you wanted to bring them up, my ooc tell to you consisted of me asking you to either junk loot equipment from an enemy kill (actually junk them), sell them, or keep them. Putting them in some random ocean space is poor form and is an attempt to take some one out of the game. I don't have a problem with you on an ooc level and I'm not sure what I did to give you that impression.

I'm actually not trying to add anything to this particular discussion because it is useless. This is a l2p situation. Nothing more. Calm down.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that Lumiere is the one letting in game events affect his OOC attitude.

I could go either way on this.

Totally agree with Opey about the whole "scattering in the ocean" thing, though. I thought about sending Lumiere an ooc tell myself, just to ask why. I'm not resentful, I always get my ish back, but that is like an ooc finger to the other player.

Imm enforcement of rules is almost always done in a lopsided way and sucks for players.

It's not much fun for us, either, bucko. Sometimes players do things by accident, sometimes they do it because they think it's legal, sometimes they do it because they're intending to break rules. Sometimes their friends overlook the incident, sometimes their enemies report it, sometimes they just expect us to magically know everything that happens at every moment because, well, player X was in that place in that moment, and saw it, so why didn't we? Whatever the specific case, it pretty much always sucks worse for the imm having to enforce a rule than it does for the players involved, because in 9 cases out of 10, the player knew ahead of time what he was doing, and just didn't want to get caught or punished for it, whereas the imm involved is always caught between enforcement for the good of the game as a whole, clarification of precisely what happened, and a general desire to work in a pleasant atmosphere or to be doing something more productive than parsing complaints/cheats. Remember, it's really never the imm who initiates a situation that results in rule-enforcement; it's always a response to some choice by a player.

Where possible, such as here, clarification and code changes work a lot better and less destructively.

Agreed. Fairly certain that the clarification you seek has already been addressed in recent months. Code fixes are always preferable to leaving something in a gray area for players to abuse and imms to have to sort through intention and result.

That's what I meant, when I was talking about nepotism.

So.... not nepotism at all. Opey for-the-win?

An illogical situation, described by the rules, is a massive male giant riding a massive gorilla, or a gray-eyed male half-elf behind a gray wolf. Or an elemental female half-elf warlock. I actually saw that, once, and was disgusted.

One of my big pet peeves is this cheater move. I hope you alerted somebody to try to correct the elemental half-elf, after your initial disgust.

Honestly, Opey, I think you're just mad that my character jlooted yours, something that you have already expressed quite clearly in OOC tells, that you're unable to separate yourself from your character, and that your comments are immature and have provided no constructive ideas about Gameplay.

It's cuz he's a ginger.
