What is up with the tame skill. I have to spam it 100+ times to tame something I know I already can tame. I feel sorry for anyone who doesnt know what they can and can not tame at different stat levels. I literally mastered tracking in less time than it takes me to get a successful tame on some tames. This skill seems very anti newbie friendly in the fact you just need to know if you are the right level/stats and be persistent. The cool down on the ability isnt huge so spamming it 100 times is only about 2-3 min or so but still it seems designed to make you think you can not do something you can do.

I've tamed my favorite pet in game with as little as 5 tries, and as many as several hundred (for some reason I generally stop counting or lose count past 200). It could take me between a few seconds and 10+ minutes to tame it. My character has max charisma for a delf. A few more weeks and I was going to see if it got better with her 2nd age tick.

I agree it's a bit ridiculous and also makes it hard to tell if a new beast I cross paths with is actually untamable or just equally stubborn to the pet I mention above. Not many other players will wait around for 10+ minutes in a potentially hostile zone to find out with me, I'd wager.

This has been addressed several times.

I suggest if you don't want bad things to happen, though, not to bring up issues like this.

Last time this issue was brought up we succeeded in getting lag introduced to tame.

One of the most broken skills in game. Once the lag was introduced, I wouldn't even touch the class.... unless paid too. Still remember when Ambush was great :(

Remember when you could use Ambush with any weapon equipped, and scouts had staves? I miss those days.

And pets could cast spells. I remember my first char and seeing a fadelion cast a cure (cure light? maybe serious/crit) and thinking it had to be the most OP thing ever!

I'd put an extended lag timer on it and make it 100% successful if you are the appropriate level. Like how request works

A small change would work something like 3 colors of the tame response. Red = you will never tame this at your level. Yellow = This is a maybe tame your charisma will make or break the tame. Green, this is a done deal regardless of charisma just need to spam it a few more times. This would give fairly clear indication to new players what they can and cant tame. Yellow would be the question area and they could then talk to people about which races have more or less charisma and if they will be able to tame it eventually. This would also give some hint when using tame in combat to calm an animal as to if it is likely to work or not.

I played my scout Destrivai around 2004-2006, this feature has not changed other than the complete fail of adding lag to the skill. That it has to be spammed upwards of 100 to 200 times is a testament that this skill is poorly implemented.

However, given that the last "improvement" to the skill was to add lag to it, I can only assume that Dulrik hates this skill.

Unless you want to have to spam it 500 to 1000 times, I wouldn't ask for any fixes to this skill.
