Edit: Thread posts split from Oarn afterlife thread.

Now I did send a log of this incident upstairs but I was stunned to see that Dulrik and Achernar could not read the log and wanted help. I thought about buying the both of them Hooked on Phonics, but then I remembered that I really don't care enough.

It's true, when someone sends a 50 page log with no detail about what I should be looking for other than 'Leadership abuse' and the name of the character whose point of view it is, I'm not going to even try. It would be a waste of my time, which I don't have much to waste. I generally don't know anything about the characters involved, so it's meaningless to me without some more pointers.

I don't know how much time Achernar spent reading it, but he replied back to both of us and asked you to spell out the allegation, and you clearly never bothered to follow up. Obviously it was more important for you to be able to post barbs about 'Hooked on Phonics' than resolve whatever the issue was.

Through the events that followed his removal, there was a lot of OOC discussion that (gasp) didn't include any personal insults, even though we disagreed on some points.

Nice to see there's some CQI going on up there. I happen to have a collection of bitter insults from Meissa which I'm sure are justified in some strange calculus. Maybe you'll notice that her most active public thread is "grep bashing," so I might just be special. Since substantiating this point further might involve breaking rules that I don't like breaking, even though Meissa has done things like expose my characters in threads in the past, I think I'll drop the topic. Every communtiy member knows just how the situation stands. The character in this afterlife thread has gotten a baptism by fire, and I think it's probably one of the best ways to quickly find out if the game is right for oneself or not.

Maybe ardith doesn't have much free time, either. If it is a valid point for staff maybe it is also a valid point for players; ardith isn't in a position where he volunteered his time to deal with issues, but you are. Maybe he's not complying with the right reporting format, but the ball is ultimately dropped by the hands of the party responsible for processing it. I can't believe I'm defending ardith, but there you have it.

This is a very interesting afterlife thread for what was an interesting character in a fascinating situation and time. It's a great indoctrination into the community. I think I can speak in Oarn's afterlife thread quite alright.

"Grep bashing" was a thread that was renamed after being split from some other topic. Anyone who bothers to actually read it will see that my posts there had absolutely nothing to do with bashing anyone.

Good to know your posts were in interest of the character that this afterlife involves and not some personal vendetta against an admin.

You can tell because I substantiate my claims and tie them to the character in question rather than making unrelated snippets like, ironically, Meissa and Dulrik do in this thread.

Yeah, I forked it of my own accord. Deal with it.

You know, I just got to thinking about that whole mess. If ardith complained about a leader (was it Vassar?) and submitted a log that basically couldn't be processed because they didn't know the characters, then how well was Vassar's situation examined when he got that immortal approval to engage in PvP in the first place?

How are you still failing to understand that immortal approval is NOT REQUIRED for LvL PvP? The rules on it are clear and stated and don't need to be confirmed before every event in which it occurs.

Srsly, your trolling is beyond the pale. There's plenty of people in this community that disagree with admins on various subjects with some regularity, but it's all for the betterment of the game. You're just out to slag the game, the staff, and the players of this game at every chance you get. Why that continues to be tolerated on a soapbox you don't pay for is beyond me.

Calm down, hero. This isn't about your precious rules nor yet entirely about your precious immortal. This is about due diligence.

Invalid comparison, since I wasn't involved in this supposed 'immortal approval for PvP' either. The admins who handle the factions and religions are supposed to be closer to things and understand what is going on. I'm the court of last resort that you come to for impartiality. If you want to bring a case to the Supreme Court, you better not mess up your briefs.

That's a fair reply, and I believe my concerns were invalid now that I understand the situation better.

But that bring up a worrisome topic all the same.

So immortals can give people permission to do things without you knowing about it? There's not even a "hey, guys, someone asked me _________ and I told them _________" e-mail protocol?

That's a recipe for you to be made out to look like an ineffective or hypocritical or inactive Chief Justice when your Godlings have different ideas of what is and isn't appropriate behavior.
