And I asbolutely HATE when folks make adjectives to help them in pk. Like a large male hellion to go with his large horse. IMHO if you make an adjective that will make it the same as your pet, then have it so you cannot buy a pet that has the same adjective as you.

Or worse, spirited hammer peeps... I have seen a lightie spirited something or other running around with hammer, if he is hammer, he should be changed.

On another note, remember that adjs are other peoples ic perceptions of your char. So when my fixed half-elf (detailed in the description as dark, resistant etc, things hinting that he wont move easily/willingly) walks into a temple and a battered halfling says, 'dont worry, he is fixed!' you are being a jackass. Fixed as in neutered is obviously not immediately apparent, and also not the reason for my adj, so dont be a dimwit.

I agree with Forsooth and Fepel when it comes to most mood or situation based permanent adjectives.

I've seen a few exceptions though. There's a naked halfling running around out there that I at first found silly. But since I haven't actually seen him with clothes on yet, I find it rather original now.

Omniscient, happy, peaceful, sweet, carefree, malevolent, divine... I would rather know those by interaction. If you're trying to kill me I probably won't find you peaceful, and if you're giving me equipment and teaching me I'm not likely to find you malevolent. Divine is probably not meant literally (or at least meant to refer to its informal definition), but in a game where gods have been proven to exist, it's a bit of a stretch.

My two cents.

Bah, typo.

Yes, anyone that uses width on trs(or any attributes generally), needs to be shot.

You mean the <td> silly n00b :P

Bah, typo because of the late hour.

PS: I don't see any posts past the one quoted in the thread, yet in the topic review frame as I type this reply there are 3 more posts. Also it's impossible to edit a post.

Baloney. You've got it backwards with the whole pixel vs % bit. Nothing to do with screen resolution either - phpbb2 forums (like this one) run style-sheets which makes the website look very similar from browser to browser and resolution to resolution on the user end. Problem is somewhat random although it does seem to be caused by the preprocessor parser choking on quote objects.

Triple replies are another problem.

I think the intent of the post was excellent, but the use of code tag should only be used when displaying actual mud output that wraps at 80 character width. Otherwise it makes the post nearly unreadable without effort. I have edited the original post to make it easier for most everyone to read.

*back on topic*

I agree, adjectives should be describing physical traits.

Excellent post (now).

You have immortal powers, change adjectives to something suitable. I can't remember how many adjective and name changes I had to go through in my first year.

Psh, yeah. Imms wouldn't even let me have precocious.

EDIT: Although, now that I think about it, "Precocious" kind of screams twink, doesn't it?
