If it was to get changed I would go with 5 disorientations and can not be brought back to life while disoriented until Imm invervention. This would give those hit by it a chance to get back at the caster in a meaningful way, make them spend a day in afterlife prison. The major reason I dislike FS is there is no way to hurt the sorceror back for doing it.

I voted yes. I think this is a good idea, though I would make it less generic then a standard amount of spirit disorientation. I would give you one disorientation for each person who died in the final strike.

Final strike is really stupid.

A final strike is the very last and most desperate defense for a sorceror who knows that she is sure to be defeated by her enemies.

When was the last time final strike was used defensively?

A character doesn't even get disoriented until they are brought back to life.

As far as I know you can't die from disorientation. I don't think you can reduce a stat to below one in anyway. Not from fatigue or anything else.

I like this idea. I really, really miss the old FS - I would take the old one over the current one. This sounds like a great compromise - impair the sorceror heavily for a few weeks with the heavy disorientation, add like a one/two month minimum before the spell could be cast again, and that's about all I'd want.

An FS (to my knowledge) hasn't happened in at least two or three months, and that is way boring, IMO.

What was the old one??

The spell itself has not changed, but the repricussions have. The old FS merely killed you - no consequences whatsoever.
