Dirt kick: The calculation is done the same way for NPCs and PCs. You don't really know how successful they are because you can't see when they are failing their skill check. They might be dirt kicking you every possible round and only succeeding once out of four tries. Most PCs will just give up if they don't land one or two.. NPCs are stubborn.

Can you make them chill out a bit? It would be fun to have such dangers, but to be blind in every single fight is wearing thin on me.

Are confusion and hold person, Shaman spells? I know that they are not Sorc or Priest spells.
Also, why is it that some NPC Priests and Sorcs have both of these spells in their arsenal but not in their classes spell tree?

Also, what about the whirling wind teleporting heal spell that certain NPCs have? Where does that come from?

I would add, that being blind in 100% of the fights, for the majority of the conflict, makes spells that require specific spell targets (such as spear of faith) completely useless in fighting NPCs. That does not seem right now does it?

SK Character: That'd be telling
SoF, BoG, Flamestrike etc can be cast while blind. Just cast the spell (without a target) and it will be aimed at the opponent attacking you.

Or rather, at the opponent that you're attacking (if any).

If your swashie is having a hard time being dirt kicked, then trip your opponent, that will keep them from dirting you. Otherwise, if you are say, a priest/warlock/paladin, and get dirt kicked, then you can cast offensive spells without a target and it will cast at whatever you are fighting at the current time.

I hear you guys, and I know that there are certain spells that I can use while blind. There are however very specific spells (including spear of faith and Harm(?) ) that are almost useless while spellcasters are perma-blinded by NPCs.

If you're IN combat alrady casting spear of faith or harm without an arguement will cast at your opponent, blind or not.

I believe that was pretty clearly explained by Edoras, though. Call me crazy.

Confusion and hold person are real spells that are not currently assigned to any class's spell tree, something which has irked many an SK'er for quite some time.

To play devil's advocate for a bit, imagine the whining that would go along with adding them to PC spell lists. You think there's a lot of whining about mass voodoos or summon kills or final strike - imagine if confusion was added for PCs. I personally think the confusion spell should be given to a certain chaotic cabal and another fairly useless higher-level spell belonging to that same cabal being removed, but that's me

Hold person on the other hand is about as annoying as dirt kick or bash and could definately make the rounds as a PC spell. How 'bout it D?

Confusion/Chaos should not be PC spells. If it was I would walk into Inns and cast it on everyone and get everybody outlawed.
