I did bug log this, but specialize is still way too fast. Spec was the first skill I mastered on a mercenary - before second and third attack, before sword, even before enhanced damage.

Spec was the first thing I mastered too.

Have fun mastering persuade.

There are ways to make mastering it easier. When I played Cal I did master persuade. First, use the trainers. There is one that will take it one tic from superb if not to it. Next, go find a place with a high spawn of low lvl NPCs. Now this was a while ago, so I don't know if D changed it.

Fel mastered persuade in an inn, which is the second fastest way of mastering persuade. Omfg, it took a long time.

my current concerns are parry, sneak, and hide. all three feel very, very slow to me, with 19 int. could just be bad luck, but...

It's probably bad luck, Salandarin. I don't feel the skills need tweaking again just yet. We haven't even got to see Dulrik's changes with it currently for even a small fraction of time.

That being said. I mastered it with my paladin within 10 minutes of trying it out. Perhaps I got a bit lucky. You're just getting the unlucky part passed off onto your character.

I win.

I think it's too early to have another spreadsheet. I think we need to let six months or a year go by so that people have a good idea of what the rate is now instead of what it used to be. However, I didn't actually change specialize, since the average of opinions had it close enough to the mid-range. I could still tweak that skill on it's own.

And by the way, none of the changes affected spells.
