Aren't you contradicting your point if it was only 4% damage a hit?

And considering one weapon was an adam khopesh with negative energy(aka half bonus) and the other was energy waki with negative energy(aka full bonus), you were getting more or less a +60% dmg from normal weapons(considering weapon subtypes).

Now if we consider that your suit was nothing that great(someone said it had about 20 MP only) I don't find the weapons overpowering. Someone just used your character's weakness to defeat him, so get over it. You used to rape delves with Arsilan and the cheat0r archangel sword anyway and never complained about it back then.

there is an armor rating that protects against exotics and such but it is generally quite lower than the other ratings of the same armor.

Cyra, I'm not going to get into specifics about how armor works against exotics. Keep in mind I built on this mud for a few years, so I know a thing or to about how armor is actually made.

Just keep this in mind:

Armor isn't ignored by exotic weapon damage, unless a builder specifically designs it that way and I don't think I've seen any more than one or two things ever made like that. The items were usually considered trash, too.

I have to agree with most of the other people posting here that there isn't any need to change how exotic damage and armor interact with each other. They're fine the way they are.

Diamond back turtle shells block the most magical damage, true story.

Not particularly, the person that was hitting me is dark aura and I had protection up. That is only an average as well since the person is a swashbuckler and using two different weapons, and on top of that is twice aged and didn't come in with any buffs.

Yeah, it'd be quite silly for a twice aged swashie to go anywhere without any buffs. :-?

Well if there is a stat on armor that reduces magical damage then I was completely unaware.

Over the years though, I have learned not to trust Salak.
