GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
I'm relatively sure you mean even numbers of PCs on both sides. Guess what? That still leaves raiders outnumbered somewhere in the order of 2 or 3 to 1. Why? Because the inner guardian counts for a four to five GM group all by itself. We'll call the outer guardian a 2 GM group, and be conservative doing so.
Add in a group of 9 defending PCs, many of whom will likely be using the very cabal spells the raiders are attempting to disable (many of which are perfectly suited to shutting a group of 9 attackers down entirely).
That's...9 vs 16. No group has a chance against that. The spammed NPC guards are better, since they're stupid.

PS. If you want me to remove the word "secretive" from cabal help files, and that will settle things once and for all, I could go for that too.
Unless this means no more "wrap a towel around your head" mentality about discusing cabal skills/spells on the forums, what would be the point, exactly? The practical reality is that there is no secrecy involved in SK cabals, period. As I mentioned on another thread (which I believe was deleted due to "zomg naming of cabal spells") any level 1 character can ask almost anyone and get a complete list of the cabals, their abilities, the locations of their HQs, and even a good portion of their current rosters. BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO, DON'T MENTION ANYTHING ON THE FORUMS! THE ILLUSION OF SECRECY MIGHT BE SHATTERED!
