WTF? How does the introduction of a 'ImmunetoLaw' command for a given player, that can be removed at any time by tribunal leaders, allow for any chance of abuse?

What possible abuse can there be, IC or OOC?

I think that Gilgon has a spectacular idea, with one minor addition.

I think that if a Tribunal leader marks someone as 'ImmuneToLaw', they should -also- recieve a report upon entering the realms of the crimes that were auto-pardoned.

Definate assurance against abuse?

No, Just no. It gives Hammer the ability to PK anywhere they please without serving their time for killing people. Why bother joining a tribunal when you get a get out of jail free card, cabal skills and pets to give you buffs.

The immunity should of course cost [REDACTED] loads of money for the tribunal to uphold. Which should make it not that often used or abused perhaps?

Auto-parole sounds like the best idea for me, if it can be coded.

A leader would have the option to pardon or sentence after seeing the list of crimes. For example, he could pardon a zealous hammerite for killing members of a warring faction, but make them serve time for killing unaffiliated deep-elves.

I don't even know if there is code that currently allows selective pardons, but it would be a cool addition.

I think people have suggested a "deputize" command for years, so there must be some reason it hasn't been added, whether by design or by code limitation.

If this is ever coded SK will officially be R E T A R D E D This would be abused beyond belief. I could roll a Hammer have my buddy roll a Peacekeeper and ask him on YIM to keep me autoparoled so I can PK anyone I want with no consquenses. It's bad enough people turn themselves in naked to avoid banishment and losing EQ now that problem is solved by something even lamer.

NO, Just no.

EDIT: I want people to know what I have to say, Instead of that RULES VIOLATION THING.

Two words will help you: thesaurus + dictionary.

If you can't use the forums properly, you'll lose your ID. Express what you want to say without using terms that are against the forum rules, and you'll be fine. Again I point you to the Google Advertising policies regarding content alongside their ads: their meagre revenue stream is one of the few reasons this website is still here for you to use in the first place.

PS: I've been using PMs for these kinds of reminders, but in the hope that more folks learn and reduce the repetition, I'm now posting in-thread.

Considering we had a perfectly good system before these forums were put up (and a very viable alternative if you decide to shut them down), perhaps you should think twice before you start implying a shutdown of these forums. Websites are not exactly costly things, and a phpbb is not exactly a taxing system to maintain.

Coming from someone who is intentionally trying to make these forums nigh unuseable, I choose to ignore your threats.
