Hahaha. This has always been a huge problem for me, and it's especially worse when I have super respectful characters who refer to everyone as sir or ma'am. I can't tell you how many times I get those two wrong. :(

I thought this was about the various Hellokitty-like character names popping up suddenly.

My suggestion is never to use "sir" or "miss" in a tell until you've met them.
