So, we should just make a Gameplay sticky that has all of these previously-addressed inquiries listed and answered in as few words as possible.

People who rp in inn's go to inn's to rp, not rest...So the rp wouldn't be gone.

It would just be helpful for those who do want to go to the rooms to be a little safer, like people who are venerable to attacks and lowbies who wish to avoid dying to some people who come into the inn and kill everyone.

*shrugs*

I don't want the rooms to be invulnerable, just unique keys.
Pick lock and eth should work on all these doors. Hell, even bash. I just want to be able to buy an inn room and be sure that the wench I got the room from isn't going to let some dirty hairy dwarf sleep in my prepaid bed.

Eth and pick lock both get in inn rooms.

There are specific inn rooms that their doors are unpenetratable by ethereal beings and can't be pick-licked.

I don't want unique keys because not all Inn rooms are pickable, bashable, or ethereal allowing. If I made Inn rooms in general less secure, I'd be fine with unique keys. As it is, you can buy a key, drop it, log out in the room, and you've basically got a free place to store loot. I also don't want unique room keys because I think it is more fun for people to either fight over the same room or walk in on someone. If you want real privacy or security, there's much better places.

I'm pretty sure all inn rooms can be picked, though I know of some that can't go through with ethereal.

I'd find room regens to be useful for things such as enchanting, spell spamming and the like. It is -annoying- to go to the inn (for whatever reason) and try to ignore the sorcerer spamming enchants while the bard sings and dances. Maybe make it so that the "back room" with the astral board also has a regen, so we have the option of two rooms?

It already does.

You walk west.

The Inn of the Rumbling Zakami
Similar to the large main open area in the entranceway, the walls of this
room are painted in the same color and metallic highlighting, with the same
deep borderings. A grand desk is resting on the opposite wall, for the
convenience and use, evidently, of the receptionist.
Obvious exits: n(closed) e s(closed) se(closed)
A crystalline device, emitting a dull hum, rests within ethereal light.
An astral watcher is here facilitating the use of the crystal.
