I want to see something original, something that no other mud has. Ill throw out some ideas, perhaps some new pets? Not OP pets, just cool looking pets.

Just in case you weren't aware: illithids are not Open Game Licensed material, you'd have to dodge a bit of a bullet on that one. They're a rights-reserved D&D trademark. I think Beholders are in the same boat, too.

I am aware and was intending to modify the whole thing a bit. They already are an existing race in SK and the first thing that popped into my head. If I don't have to concern myself with dodging said bullet, I'll take that option.

Just to clarify the purpose of the area though. My intention is for it to become a simple, easy-to-navigate leveling zone on the main continent. Ideally, with a subculture of sorts. If I use "common" races, I'll be giving them some kind of quirk.

What status leveling area are we talking about here? I had this idea a while back, as soon as you entered the area, it takes into consideration your party's strength, and matches it with NPCs. That would be sweet.

Well.... you're pretty talented, Mira. Why not build on your own legacy?

Decorate the entrance to the Dreamscape.

Surely, the races of the world would be fighting for control over the entrance to such a potential seat of power.

Instead of the one-on-one faction of the Valley of Ashes, it would be more of a King of the Hill approach, with multiple races to potentially ally with. Their quirks could be related to the time and energy being spent fighting for such a place.

Areas that have a story behind them are some of the coolest.

That was the original design for Chibuni village, if I am not mistaken. The NPCs were humans during the day but in the night they changed. Either something was broken with the scripts and it never happened or was kiboshed for some reason.

Where there are werewolves, there are vampires.

That's actually an interesting idea that sounds difficult to code. A daytime leveling area for darkies that at night becomes an area best serving lighties.

Should be for levels 40-50. I would farm some coin to see that happen.
