This is because prone was developed after the game was released, and was likely not properly balanced. :P

So when you repeatedly act like some sort of pk champ on the forums, and ridicule how simplistic the tactics in this game are, even though the only pk logs that exist of your characters involve them dying in spectacular fashion, some people might not take you very seriously.

Just to silence the barely suppressed laughter of all those fools, perhaps you should take a month to dominate the pvp aspect of this game. People will then realize that you know what you're talking about. Then you can go back to the lesbian mudsex or whatever it is you do so much better than everyone else.

No, it's pretty much always been easy to kill people once you had them bash locked. In fact it used to be easier, on balance, because there was no order lag, NPCs could bash once a round or so, and you could have the lag stacked up on you.

The spam flee tactic rarely got you out of the bash lock jam anyway.

[Edit] Also, the fact that you can now issue a rescue command while prone and don't receive 2x damage (not resting) means it's MUCH easier to survive now once bashed than before.

Would it kill bash / trip if you took the lag away from commands while prone? I mean it'd still prevent you from doing the actions and such, but wouldn't make you vulnerable for so long.

yet its everywhere in this game.

I think less pets should have bash imo. The lions and such are absolutely beefy for what they are, not only that people can spam bash you with a pet unless you have one of your own. I really dislike the fact that you -have- to have a pet to survive in this game. It's a bit of a nuisance. I can see casters and stuff but even Mercenaries and things are required to have a pet simply because they're so useful.

As for syn's suggestion, I will say that minimizing tactics such as spam-bashing, which requires no skill but is still highly effective, is generally a good thing. However, changes with such impact on game balance should be closely examined before implemented. It is not clear to me that making this change would improve the game more than it would hurt it.
