Yeah this guy lives up to his reputation. I wasn't going to make fun of him because I assume English is not his first language.

4: I am not as bad as it seems, I just accept my rep and exaggerate for lolz.
5: I am shocked this post has gotten as much response as it did.

It was borderline racist back in the day, but mez always took it pretty well, and usually said something sexist or ridiculous in response. People were soooo mean to mez and then I'd feel bad and want to say something in defense, but then mez would say something really crazy!

I miss those days. I was almost always smiling and laughing on this side of the screen.

It's weirdly amusing to me that the most important power level of the game in terms of ability to affect the game world, ie. Grandmaster, is so difficult to achieve by the more casual / relaxed / roleplay-oriented players. The weird irony there is that it means that the players with the most impact in terms of being able to affect in-game decisions by sheer use of brute force (and therefore the best ability to back up their conflicting RP) will be the people who did not "stop to roleplay" like meztiso has. So the GM character played by the ultra-optimizing player is actually rewarded for not roleplaying at all!

Well, it's not clear that GM, or even PK, is all that important in affecting the gameworld.

I remember when Chemhound got a statue set up in the Empire through faction PK dominance. He ended up complaining when it soon disappeared.

A couple of religion and faction characters roleplay together: Whole rooms get rebuilt, and governments rise and fall.

The only real effect of making GM hard for non-Achievers, is that it encourages them to avoid PK and PK-heavy roles. Personally, I'll never play a serious evil character, because pulling off a badass is too much trouble.

Whether you can get to GM has little to no impact on whether you have what it takes to be dominant in the PK scene.

I think if roleplay got rewarded a little more often or maybe with more gumption, this might not be a problem. PARs don't see everyone - in fact, I think the current PAR list got there by PKing, mudsexxing, or both. If you're not in any of those circles, maybe you're likely to get ignored.

This is why I will send tells to PARs saying "so and so is a great RPer; this is what happened" but I don't know if that even ever has any influence.

Yep. All of the current PARs are mudsexxors or PK heavy players. Like Iliphalia and Alefi.
