Actually, I kind of agree with ardith on this one. As it stands now, maledictions does nothing to hinder melee. You can get easy stat mods of moderate power from a certain store and then have them enchanted and since they're unlimited in quality, you can eventually get all your stats maxed out with moderate or greater MP / Reflex or whatever else you want and make an awesome kit with stat mods.

Int, for the most part, isn't important to a pure melee like a merc or so unless they're in a cabal, and weaken / curse etc should be something to be feared. Melee, buffed all to hell and back can put out so much DPS that they can down most controls / wraiths etc simple enough as is. Granted, I know this isn't just going to affect Necromancers, but Shamans as well. Though this would be a huge, huge buff to taunt as well. The int drop in it though is insane enough already. Not even frenzy drops concentration as much as the massive hit on taunt does.
