Removing zappy auras probably shouldn't be possible anyways, so I don't see the loss of that as anything particularly terribad.

The only ones who should be able to do this are priests of Thuban. Hell, give them a religion specific enchant to nullify aura specific enchantments! Otherwise, fading an item should bring it to it's original state, as I see it.

No. No one should be able to remove aura restrictions on items. As patri said, darkies with paladin shields and paladins with evil-oriented armor shouldn't be happening. Ever. Thubanites already have a spell that allows them to use, or allow the temporary use of, such items and that's enough.

I would say yes as a band-aid to the fact that armor needs to be able to have saves on it, and at the moment that's only possible with innate endowments.

I would vote yes but could you start reworking some of the armor/items that start with useless/negative endowments?

Some items will certainly be reworked over time, but you shouldn't assume that we will remove negative endowments.

If this is something that might go in, I would like to suggest a spell, or a NPC in cities, that will fade items of all properties.

On the one hand, my current character kind of relies heavily on a faded zappy weapon (and nothing so extreme as darkie using a lightie weapon), so I'm a bit biased.

On the other hand, reverting to innate enchants cuts down on downtime and makes sense rp-wise. A darkie wielding Alshain's Favorite Turkey Carver doesn't make a whole lot of sense, unless there was some divine intervention twisting the aura of the weapon.

Ouch. Didn't even think of you. I still think this is a flaw with item design that could be fixed though, and that you could PM an imm to inquire about adding usable bastard swords were yours to suddenly become not so. It is silly to have an entire sub-class available to darkies only - you're no doubt right about that.

Yes. Especially for weapons. I'm hearing that top tier weapons such as glaive, and halberd can hit six attacks a round with enough speed augments. Halberd specialized mercenaries are going to destroy the balance of the game now.
