Maybe this is an effort to have the player base consider playing charm resistant races. When charm hurts too much some will do so.

That would be all well and good, if it were at all difficult to charm gnomes or minotaurs. Natural resistances don't seem to count for much, and I don't -think- they stack with your wp enchants.

Could be. Anyone who can use a scroll can polymorph into certain races that are immune...

But I'll leave that to be figured out IC.
