Fewer random aggressive NPCs in the wilderness. I'm really not sure what kind of thought went into putting spiders / wolves / tigers / cougars / bakemono / harpies / oo-thingies / alligators / darkbandits / fadelions all over the place, but all they do is kill lowbies.

No more griffon weapons. Making them more humanoid (by giving them humanoid-equivelant help) is not the solution.

More mid-high level undead (Veteran+) areas.

More staffs with stat mods. It is THE most useless subtype right now (I liked GL's suggestion a little ways back btw, even if it wasn't a building suggestion). Making more of them one-handed and giving them stat/save mods would bring them into usefulness.

I would love to use a staff as my priest for RP purposes, but at their current state in the game, they are completely useless.

Give a few of the two-handed ones reach, make them out of USEFUL materials (iron is okay, wood is absolute garbage for a weapon), and increase their supply in-game. It is difficult to find a decent staff anywhere, let alone one that is worth enchanting.

I have been told that a staff with reach is a spear. So therefore staff will -never- have reach. I with that it did.

I wish that all weapons sub-types be looked at. Make it so that it might be worth it to use them. I mean that is the point of having all of these weapon sub-types if no one ever uses them. They are just wasted space.

Then what is a Long Staff?

Oh wait, it's a staff with reach.

Yes, every weapon should have reaching ability.

This way, we can say f u to Dulrik's mechanics system and forgo balance! Yay for twinkery!

Oh wait, your priest shouldn't be reaching. I even think pole-axes and pole-maces are the stupidest things ever.

Only classes that should have any ability to reach are classes with a) polearms b) spears c) ranged.

That includes stripping landys.

Take out pole-maces and you can say goodbye to the majority of priests in the game.

Simple fact is, they are real weapons, and while uncommon, they can be, and were, used.

There was one in there. The flame might just be one sentence, but if it's in there I will yank your whole carefully thought-out post. The lesson you should learn from this is to keep your flames to GD.

Yes, because priests still have xbow.

The only hang up I have on the "pole" thing, is that there is a polearm class of weapons - and TECHNICALLY, polemace, and poleaxe fall into that class of weaponry. (being pole-armaments).

Think of it like this, sk style. You have a sword skill. Therefore, you can use a sword. but if you put the sword on a stick, it's not a sword anymore, it's a polearm. It should work the same way with maces and axes.

Want to get technical?

How can a sprite, size tiny, use a size tiny spear, and still reach?
