Starting at the beginning of the year, if you are carrying, but not wearing, more than six, limited, wearable items (defined as worn on any body slot OR weapons/shields that are held, but not other items that are held), all of the unworn items will be eligible to be stolen by thieves while you are offline. The more extra stuff you horde, the larger the chance of theft.

Ammo is not considered a weapon, right? So carrying around 100+ bolts or arrows isn't going to count against the six item limit?

Ammo is ammo, not a weapon.

Just seeking clarification here:

Things like "a northern wastes signet ring" are technically wearable (it's a ring) but are not intended to be worn as they disappear after being used. Does that count against my total?

Things that are limited, but have a very very high limit cap - such as an eagle shaped fibulae enchanted with some different stats. They count, right?

Also, this doesn't solve my pet peeve issue of people hoarding cross-alignment consumables (ie lighties with Dark Sphere, darkies with ancient elven scrolls). But I'm sure you're on that. It's a nice first step.

Yes

Yes (although that particular item does not have a 'very very high limit cap', but yes either way).

Sorry for mistaking that - remember that I'm a terrible elitist who considers >2 to be very high.

Thanks for the clarification. Happily I'm in compliance. Nice change.

I'm curious, too, about a few things.

Do RP items count against your count if they can be worn and are unique? What if they cannot be worn? I'm guessing if the item is classified as a 'treasure' and can be held in your hand then it counts.

If that's the case, then things like the following might want to be examined.

Code:
This is a small stone triptych, a tiny stone treasure...

Although this particular item might not be the best example, I'm still curious if 'keys' count if they are classified as 'treasure'.

If you read the above, I think it should be clear that the triptych is not counted, because it is a held item that is not a weapon or shield.

So I guess this is now live and apparently I am a hoarder. I'm not sure if it's because I had picked up lowish-level items from killing NPCs and didn't get rid of them before I logged off or if my extra stat-mod jewelery put me over the top.

Not sure who you play, but if you PM me a name, I can run a check to be sure everything is in order.
