You guys have no idea how confusing you are to someone outside of the circle.

We were marveling at the fact that you asked a question, then when Drewbag responded with a very legitimate response, you stated that you wanted it answered your way, or no way at all.

Afterwards, you made the comment that other people were being too abrasive in order to make -you- feel accomodated, when you were the abrasive one in the first place. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Requiring a hellion or paladin to fight under the broken guild rules is so much BS. I would like to see that help file changed.

BTW, I typed mode stun in the middle of a duel to stun and it disqualified me and could have gotten me outlawed.

Better yet, fix the rules. Also, I have seen too many times that after the battle has started one side or the other will be waiting till it is over then swoop and and kill the winner.

The point was, you assholes have no concept of no one explaining his to them in two years because he doesn't troll forums. I saw the rule. Pointed it out. And still aside from that, I have yet to see anyone R [REDACTED] P an honorable fight. Are you that dense not to see what I'm saying? Unless I am the Paladin myself or the Hellion myself, I won't [REDACTED] see it. Self awareness is great and all, but really its over rated. Self aware means arrogant you [REDACTED].

I guess what I see is that I won't ever actually get to see the said occurance in question unless I myself am a pally or helly. As that is as far as I can figure, the only reason you guys are berating me about this, is because your pallys and hellys.

Then play a hellion or a paladin and you will see proof. Simple as that. Stop crying now.

I agree that it's ICly sensible for knights to dispense with anything beyond each man's word of honor in many situations. The dueling code isn't there for everyone. It's not a requirement, of course - I commend those of you who have found a use for the concept behind it storywise, whether that means accepting OR rejecting the Duelists' Guild ICly.

That having been said, I keep hearing complaints about the dueling system, but they've all been restricted to 'it sucks' and 'it's broken.'

And so, perhaps before this thread degenerates any further into useless flaming, you'd all be so kind as to pause to indulge me by constructively criticizing the duel system? I'm just curious to get everyone's opinion on what's 'wrong' with it, and how you'd like to see it 'improved', now that the issue's come up a few times here.

I'm not crying. I'm trying to criticize. Quit being touchy. I shouldn't have to play a hellion or a paladin to see the proof. Theres enough being played already. I see them all the time killing all kinds of things. I'm trying to point that out. But I guess no one understands anything unless its blunt.

It's too hardcoded to use. You shouldn't need it at all really.

Thoobs: Try a mode stun cleave and see what I mean... Also the free from magical affects thing is lame as hell--everyone with a brain uses buffs, even permanoobs like me. Also petrification doesnt count as a win in a duel.
