Crya, I'd like to break down your entire argument like this.

1. When a bone breaks it does not make the limb severed, it disabled the limb like I said.

2. There's a reason you use a meat cleaver to cut meat with a large bone, you can't use a butcher knife without damaging it and it would take a lot of time and energy. To hack through bone would literally make most blades worthless.

3. Not all weapons hit with an obscene or excessive force. Like a said a cleaving weapon could, maybe even a strong slashing weapon. But it would be really hard still to do it. An ax would take my arm off. I have doubt about a rapier doing it period or a short sword doing it unless the wielder is a master at it and knows exactly what he's doing and how to use his blade.

4. Most weapons are specific designed, as in for certain types of combat. You use a dirk to exploit the weakness in the armpit or groin area of plate armor. You use a short sword in closed quarters combat hopefully with a shield and would have little room to do much besides thrust with it. Long swords are good all around weapons but are more brittle and prone to break (especially on bone) because of their length and narrowness. Rapiers are meant as a thrust and impale style, no hope of taking arms off with that. There's weapons like katana, khopesh and other swords that are curved and thus create a fulcrum effect giving the weapon like you said excessive force. But that's only a few types of weapons versus a whole array of weapons most of witch are very specific in their purposes and uses.

5. Bones are weak to blunt and breaking damage and only at certain angles. Not slicing. And you risk breaking them not by landing on them but by landing on them wrong.

6. This has nothing to do with people picking up stuff with out arms.

7. I don't care about the limb severing as it is in the game. It's good where it's at. I just can't let someone tell me something I know for full blown fact isn't true.

Let's see--who's going to sever your limbs?

Merc: Somebody with a flamberge? Wow, it's a giant [REDACTED] two-handed sword. I freaking wonder. Somebody with a khopesh, maybe?

Yeah, enough said. Kama?

Screw cutting your arms off, these things will turn you into a thousand tiny hot dogs.

Barb: See above.

Swash: This guy is coming at you with a khopesh AND a kama.

Hellion: Hello, my name is Argen the Dark, and I am running at you with a giant axe, ready to cut you in half.

Scout: Scouts don't cut your arms off. Their pets just rip them out.

That's my point, some weapons are limb severing weapons, others are not.
Actually it's not my point. My point is no matter how you lost your limbs you wouldn't be in a very good position to pick something up. At least nothing bulky. Maybe a coin or a small sword but not your armplates and gloves and sword and shield.

I agree getting all with NO arms sounds like it should be changed. However, that's it. It's fine the way it is otherwise.
