The sheer fact that there is one active Sker saying they don't abuse the law system clearly points out that less than 99% cheat with the law.
I also commend archaicsmurf for spending 95 days in jail, and for the reasons why he stayed in jail. It is for that reason (among many others) that I wholeheartedly detest the idea of the deathmark, because of it potential abusing by leaders. I actively pursued a change to banishment to it current form BECAUSE even banishment was being abused by tribunal leaders.
While I completely understand the frustration the law system might seem, the only thing I would honestly hope to see changed is Syndal's idea and a dramatic reduction in time one should IRL stay in jail. Because in the end it isn't the time spent in jail that we hate, its the fact you lose EQ and/or money (for those of you who do not 'cheat') along with obtaining a bad reputation in that kingdom for being a 'lawbreaker' (by PCs of course).
I also enjoy Algon's noble character creations. If he didn't create characters to abuse codes, then someone else would have to put their foot forward. Personally, I wouldn't want to be that person and I'm sure no one else has the time on their hands for such chivalrous deeds. Instead of teasing him, we should congratulate him.
There are already 99% of the mud stepping forward to abuse law code. All I am doing is doing it every single day rather than one a month, and I am logging every time I do it.
