Merc is by no means the best example, and I'm surprised you didn't include warlock in that list.

I guess that since this is disputed as much as it is, it means that tribunals and cabals are very well balanced - with the exception of a few individual law NPCs.

I think that druid warlock is clearly superior to tribunal warlock, and harlequin warlock is atleast as good.

Still, I have probably said too much!

Trib Warlock kicks the crap out of harlequin warlock. The Harlequin warlock can really only do 2 things of the entire cabal list of things against a trib warlock w/2 NPCs to protect

Tribunals have the win right now. Not going to lie.

Doesn't matter what race/class. Tribunals are much better atm.

It all depends on how you play the character, really. I'd enjoy being in a cabal or a tribunal.

As I have said before, it is a a wrong turn for this game that everyone is dependent on NPCs in front of them. You hardly ever see a PK without law NPCs, it is quite discouraging... Why is it that this game has turned in the direction where you HAVE to be buffed with GS, Haste, Lighten load, Prayer, Frenzy etc etc in order to be able to match your opponent?

I really wish tribunals would just go away and it was back like the old days when there were only cabals.

Actually you should shut down tribunals as there aren't enough players to support both cabals and tribunals. Then we would also get rid of all that NPC (abuse) and get back to basics again...

So basically tribs have easy access to a bunch of buffs and a tank.

Cabals get 5 skills/spells and can also get the exact same buffs with a bit more work. Some cabals can also make their own tanks and almost all of them have room effecting spells.

cabals > tribunals ty.
