I'd be fine if voodoo was removed. I'd also be fine with making spirit dolls wear on the symbol slot. Those changes wouldn't bother me. If we take voodoo out of the game we really should remove FS.

Its about bloody time. Get rid of them both so we can stop listening to the QQ all the time.

Also make charm work only on NPCs.

It's so annoying when a NPC charms your character and you're stuck there for up to ten minutes, unable to do a single thing.

I never thought I would ever say this, but I actually agree with h0l09ram. I have never really agreed with FS, nor the need for it. Voodoo, I can also very easily live without.

If we were to removed voodoo however, I think something should replace it. What originally started out as someone wanting to put an item into the symbol slot for shamans, turned into something far, far bigger and more complicated and/or complex. I'm not really for it, I have to admit.

Shaman's are a great class to place as, whether it be light, dark or gray. Fist or no Fist, it is an all around great class to play as. I have one right now. It's great.

I'd hate to see shamanism turn into another religion. A big plus of playing a shaman instead of a priest is the immense freedom to make up your own stuff. You can play an animal totemist, a worshiper of a dead god, or just someone who learned a few things from his dead grandfather. That variety shouldn't be compromised for some mechanical bonus linked to a quest, or a common religion flag.

Get outta my head, get outta my head!!

Kidding. Actually, these are my exact same feelings. I cannot count how many times I've take advantage of this option to RP something completely unique. It's a blast if you actually try it. I'm glad to hear someone else has realized this. Good show, 'ol chap!

I would prefer to see charm nerfed in a different way. Your suggestion breaks consistency and doesn't make any IC sense. I would suggest doubling its casting time and bringing it into line with petrification in terms of how easy it is to land.

I will have to agree with Baldric on this. I was just recently reading a log on another site and it was very disturbing. I am not going to mention the character names and what cabals and such were involved, but I have to admit that I lost a little bit of faith in the game when I finished. To walk in, charm a grandmaster character in the middle of the Heart and Rose Inn for no apparent reason, lead them off somewhere to relieve them of things, just to have them attack someone naked until they die is a major source of BS if you ask me. When asked why, they provided nothing but a gigantic pile of BS once again.

This is a spell, although quite handy, has been abused time and time again. Not to mention it's annoying as hell. I think it might be due for a bit of a nerf. I am not certain as to how one would go about doing so, as I am no sorcerer expert. I never really used one for any extended period of time. Nonetheless, I think that the facts of it's capabilities are enough. Didn't they removed scribing charm person just recently for a reason? I could be wrong, so feel free to let me know if I am.

Charm person was nerfed recently. Its casting time was increased and it became unscribable.

These were good changes that many like myself fought for, but the spell is still incredibly OP and requires more nerfs.

It makes perfect balancing sense, sorcs have so many things going for them they don't really need this kind of I-win spell.

And getting charmed by a NPC is [REDACTED].

Makes perfect balancing sense, I agree. It doesn't make any IC sense and seems inconsistent to me, though, so I think there are better options.

I like charm the way it is. I am totally biased though.

Charm person should just slay PCs when it lands. That way you get it over with.
