I think I saw in a log where Qahz ate 3 in between rounds once. I think it's close to 2-3, so maybe a 2.5 or so chance on eating herbs.

Still excessive. These guys can restore hps like nobody's business.

I'd foe Muktar, but then I'd probably forget that there are things that I should be thankful for in this world.

i play i full MR barb and trust me it isnt that much healing, The other things though should be removed for healing more so then mistletoe.. like ugh Gate spell? I know everyone was getting annoying by my testing with zonin but i can tell you exact numbers on all of it. full mr each mistletoe is about 12% each, can eat about 3 a round. gate heals me 20% and does not need to be in the same room. that needs to be fixed. Have not tried voodoo but i imagine it would be nasty also. Sanctuary healing is decent trade off. considering you can have double heal vials vs my weak sauce mistletoe thing i dont really think it is such a big deal. Also magma is decent but isnt the answer, if i had a nice reflex suit then magma would be laughable at best. All spells to try to take them out is completely idiotic, ill just resist it. and there are other things that are far more abusable in scripted loot over herbs. go complain about scripted stuff first over this herb thing.

So... this point seemed pretty obvious to me, but nobody has mentioned it: Everybody else can munch on some mistletoe herbs too, right? It's not an Barbarian-only thing, let alone a MR Barbarian-only thing.

Mistletoe gives sanctuary. Resisting that sanctuary is what heals the barbarians. It's pretty much a MR barb thing only.

The magic resistance of barbarians allows them to heal from resisted spells, this is a MR barb issue only.

Oh! I didn't know it healed them. I figured that mistletoe was some herb of heal, and that since it was an herb (not magic), its effect was not resisted. Now I understand what's happening.

Why do MR barbs heal from resisting things?

They HAET MAGIC SOOOOO MUCH that resisting it is like a thrill, only in this case being thrilled closes your wounds like....er, like you hadn't resisted the healing spell in the first place.

....It's a game. Don't look for logic.

Add potions to that list so people can't bash & quaff heal lock someone, [s] unless of course they're a giant scout in the front row [/s]
