Yes. Especially for weapons. I'm hearing that top tier weapons such as glaive, and halberd can hit six attacks a round with enough speed augments. Halberd specialized mercenaries are going to destroy the balance of the game now.

But remember that same halberd won't also be +obscene to hit and damage the way it would have been before.

It already outputs obscene damage, and that's what giant strength, and frenzy are for.

This is a good example of: "I guess we'll see how it goes." I'm looking forward to finding out.

I voted yes, but I want to add: "as long as the item quality does not drop".

This means, that by fading an item, you get it back to its original state, albeit at an increased level and with higher chances of exploding.

Considering the importance of innate bonuses now and that there is still a chance (regardless how big or small) of something to fade or explode at the first try, I'd hate to have to drag 2-3 people out, to grab a piece of armor with good innate stats or saves, only to fade it and ask them to go get it again.

EDIT: At the same time, the only reason I would vote no, is the aura restrictions.

At the moment, buying a simple, store-bought ring of +something is much better than using a faded ring of +universe, since whatever you add on it, won't stack either way. If fading is made to return an item to its innate bonus, it retains the value of high level loot.

I voted no. This way you can have an item of good material and fafe it off its inconvenient for your char enchants and place new ones that you prefer

I voted yes.

I agree that aura fading is lame.
I think the enchanting change should be embraced as a change: The [REDACTED] we did before isn't going to work now. Roll with it on all levels.
I like Toji's caveat. I really liked the ability to turn storebought awful gloves into nearly godly cloth armor, and the new system allows for some unusual items to be used that wouldn't otherwise have been.

How about a separate spell to restore items to default? Otherwise I would vote no.

This is pretty overwhelmingly in favor of yes, and I think there's good reason for that.
