You can, just spend the LTs for it.

I didn't think that sprite paladin was an option even with L tokens.

Now there's an idea. Loyalty tokens allowing for different race-aura combinations.

I'd suck it up and deal with a leadership position if it meant I could roll scrupulous drow. Or even aberrant sprite. Yessss...

In all seriousness though, I know game balance is an issue, but it you make the cost 100 lt to purchase a cross class skill, then I don't imagine too many people are going to be able to afford it, if they are they deserve a bit of imbalance.

Allow people to use lt to swap out their useless master level skill/spell for an out of class spell once they GM. After that allow it once per age tick. If you make the cost high, it's a reward to be a bit unbalance, I mean that is what these things are there for anyhow isn't it?

When I want an aura shift I mean like one slot off of where you would normally go IE Sprite could be Princ or Dogmatic or Abberant. Elves and Griffons would never get past unprincipled and deep-elves never get past anarchist. I mean it sounds all cool having an out of alignment elf, but who the hell is going to trust them? The real RP would come from everyone shunning the abomination and trying to purify it through righteous fires of holiness.

I'm down with the idea of spending loyalty tokens for off alignment characters. 100 tokens for a diabolic elf necromancer sounds like an incredible opportunity for RP (and also totally overpowered :drunk:). Really, though, allowing people who so desire to spend their tokens to create a snowflake character that's actually justified within the established rules of the game seems like a no brainer.

Tokens for skills is a terrible idea though. Just wait until my merc with BoG shows up, or my (insert anything here) with bash.

As much as I would like to be for this, no. As long as alignments are fully static, it doesn't make sense to break them for those types of chars.

Static alignments means that characters have no potential to change over their lifetimes, not that aberrations to the norm cannot exist. It wouldn't break the game world to allow the occasional character to exist outside of the norms, and would in fact promote meaningful conflict and interesting RP.

That's a matter of opinion that, though I can say I share it with you, may not be aligned with the design visions in place. I'd support the idea, but we shouldn't be upset if there are also good reasons why it does not come to pass. . .

Create a bonanza pool for tokens. Enough tokens and automated bonanza for 3 days.
