Galactus, 5 MP on a piece of armor before the change was the same as 5 MP and 5 AP on a piece of armor after the change.

And yeah, opey. I was going to refrain from rehashing the whole "all opinions are not equal" discussion, though.

Dulrik, you silly newb, you are not welcome to post. Your knowledge of game mechanics are sorely lacking and clearly we need to know who your mortal characters are/were to know if your opinions are valid to comment in regards to PK. Lrn2abc, silly chicken.

MP only soaked damage from magical attacks, not from mundane sources, from what I understood. MP still soaks magical damage, from what I understand.

Your understanding was wrong. MP on armor protected against physical attacks that targeted the body part protected by that piece of armor. For example, if someone was stabbing you in the head, you were much better off with a helmet that had +4 MP than one that was unenchanted, even if the two helmets compared as equivalent. Understanding this was fundamental to building a successful character in SK, and would also have been relevant information for anyone who wanted to contribute to a discussion regarding game balance.

And this isn't even new. I was listing all the berserk changes since April and these were both part of the 4/23/2012 update.
