Can I get a show of hands from people that gate killed a Shaman that Voodoo'd them?

To be fair I think I should state for the record that Sarukayn tried to gate kill me after I voodooed him.

I had about four or five guys waiting for him though. It was messy. Yet another weakness of the "but they're paralyzed, lol" argument - it makes it so, so, so easy to set a trap.

You'd still gank any lone PC with such a gank squad. So it's no big difference.

Sure you have to find him to gank him, but you must also locate the corpse after the voodoo if you want the lewt as well. So it's pretty much the same, when you get a locate corpse in a forest for example or some plains.

And Chem, I was killed with my shaman from Frollith/Thayian/Arsilan after a "trap" voodoo. And I had 4 giant barbarians, a large barbarian and a necro with me(being a judge also), who were all killed very fast. On a similar occassion I had a group of 4 Harlies pop in and falling into my trap, getting a few kills. Generally though, that would require a shaman in a tribunal else you'd get outlawed for casting voodoo in the first place(getting a kill or not is irrelevant, you get the crime at the casting place).

You can set a trap just as easily, just with PCs instead of NPCs.

Not everyone HAS TO open a gate after a voodoo. They can simply try to get away from it(sanc, protection, no magic areas, etc). Not to mention once more that if you have a gank squad anyway, you can gank any solo PC easily.

Clearly you are unfamiliar with such basic things in SKs as "locate object". Finding a static corpse is far easier than finding a moving person. Sorry DA, but you're really grasping at straws here :-?
