And you say you understand mechanics so well.

I'll show that warlocks can be unstoppable PK machines that can PK anyone, no matter how prepared he is and how well he has enchanted his gear, even when the warlock is naked. And that to achieve that, all the preparation that a warlock needs is to conjure an elemental and spam magma(unlike necros for example who actually need a lot of preparation and knowledge of mechanics and areas to achieve to get animates/controls).

And please, don't speak about arguments. You have failed to counter any of my arguments so far with some logic, all you did was scream "qqmore" and "the balance!".

Yeah, you go do that. I'm sure Dulrik will be impressed by your 1:3 kills to deaths ratio and immediately realize he needs to change magma spray back.

The true irony is that the more people that create the warlocks, the less damage they will do. More warlocks means more resist elements vials, which means less damage and no magma clings.

Seriously, though, I think the entire community realizes your aptitude and overwhelming skill in pkill and we all await your triumphant return to the forum in a couple months to show us how wrong we were. [/sarcasm].

Okay, I just read through the first 9 pages and saw that snapshot of a brandish. My nekked level 43 sorc got hit for 92% damage on the brandish, stunned and finally killed on the cling.

I'm not complaining here since my skill or lack thereof prevents me from being able to comment beyond giving asked-for input.

Your sorc would die even if he had 60 MP on his suit and GM shield up.

But obviously this is balance for some people.

You are talking about all of the preparation in the world. I can guarantee that if I had all of the preparation in the world, that my scout can kill any warlock.

The preparation is this: RESIST ELEMENTS.

That is all I need and I will wipe the board of any warlock. I might need resist elements at all. Since, we are talking about preparation. I wait outside of a city for him to step into a snare of mine. I ambush their [REDACTED], then kill them from a rooms away while he tries to figure out where I am, to target me. Man, that was hard.

Next!

suggestion: Put a cooldown on how often magma spray can be cast.

Quote:
you utter the words, 'magma spray'
your magma spray does this and that.
your powerful conjuration drains you.

round1.

c magma NPC
Your connection to the demiplane of magma is still weak.

round2.

your connection to the demiplane of magma is re-established.

c magma NPC
you begin to concentrate.
Of course the number of cooldown
rounds is random.

This would also make other spells (like lightning bolt) be used in PK by warlocks.

Discuss.

Am I the only one to find the whole 'I will PK you into the dirt on an alt' claim laughable? I mean, what's the deal with that? If you want to prove a point why not invest some time into a new character, instead of trying to pull a wannabe Algon while your main is safely sitting on piles of crap?

Tch.

Unnecessary. Dulrik has already increased the cast time and reduced the non-DoT damage component of the spell.

One of two things will happen over the next couple of months. The warlock population will stay relatively small, with the few that are around actually being competitive in pkill, but still able to be shut down by almost every other class via blindness, dirt kick, etc (read the rest of the thread). Or the warlock population will explode and their damage will be regulated even further by more accessibility to resist elements potions.

As someone in this thread said in the past, the more warlocks, the more resist elements about.

my suggestion wasn't only to 'balance' locks, but also to diversify the spells they use in PK a bit.

Unnesecary, maybe so but I still think its a pretty nice idea.

Cooldown spells. yes, maybe it smells a bit of mmorpgs but it may add a nice touch to sk.
