Changing feeblemind in such a way makes no sense, if the swashie doesn't have saves there are far worse things you can do as a necro to keep the swashie from taunting you. (Blind, sleep, fear, fod etc)

The things I hate about about current taunt...

*Cha vs Wis save makes it nearly impossible to resist it and difficult to survive against it afterwards if you don't have access to etherealform. I wouldn't play something like a scout with the current taunt.

*Nothing keeps the swashie from taunting you until it lands, it takes what? 2-3 attempts maximum? I would say either raise the lag from a failed taunt or make it impossible to make another taunt attempt to the same target for a few rounds.

*Taunt fits the rogue skillset far more than it does the swashie's, or at the very least sly rogues should be immune to taunt.

Taunt is an "I-win" button.

If taunt ONLY applied to those in current melee with you...then it wouldn't be!

But, it hits anyone, 1st or 3rd rank alike. And you can spam it on multiple people in a fight.

Even bolt of glory has a much higher save rate against the nimbus affect (which, by the way D, is the reason necros don't die as much anymore to bolt of glory. Causing a necromancer or priest to flee out from behind his/her pet was pretty sick because it stuck them 1st rank and usually ran them right into more law NPCs instantly and/or a pc bash. Now the necro just zaps ethereal/recite ethereal and waits).

Taunt is over-rated, it just keeps a target from leaveing the room, what would be nice is if it automaticaly moves them to the front row.. :P

Wouldn't it make more sense rather than changing feeble mind to effect cha. Which lets one already over powered class have even more power which would effect more than the targeted skill/class. The effect of a drop in cha is a problem for swashies, bards, scouts, warlocks and anyone else who uses a pet.
Split taunt into two saves similar to nimbus. First taunt save is change of attacker. Second taunt save can not flee. Seems reasonable might even tack on a light concentration on the second part where to maintain your mocking tongue at least if the skill proves to be over powered.
